Salon FAD’s immediate mission is to gather member representatives from all aspects of the professional beauty industry and to conduct a forum to decide upon the best business practices for which we can sustain this flourishing professional market. Every participant in the professional beauty industry relies on each other for the success of a product and likewise shares in the profitability of the product. Diversion excludes one or more of the participants from the profit of the product while they still contribute to the marketing of the product.

The line is becoming more and more vague between what is a professional product and what is a retail product. Salon FAD believes in order to be successful in stopping the diversion of professional products, definitions of professional products, professional salons, and diversion need to be agreed upon by all participants in the professional beauty industry.
